You are sure you filled the propane tank before you left for your rv camping trip.
Rv propane furnace won t stay lit.
If this doesn t solve the issue you should also take this time to check the propane regulator.
But now the rv propane is not flowing.
When a propane heater won t stay lit often what is happening is that the propane heater may sense that the flame is defective in some way triggering the propane heater s safety functions and causing it to shut off.
It shuts down and won t maintain any heat.
I have spent hours online and on this site trying to troubleshoot.
And then you realize your fridge is running on electricity rather than propane.
A low propane pressure at the furnace ca also result in furnace not lighting.
Sometimes you may notice that the pilot light isn t lit.
I have regularly done this to get the air out of the line after refills of the tank this time it will not stay lit.
Make sure it is turned on and not empty.
It is lighting only when i hold my hand over the intake vent.
Turn on the stove burner and observe the color of the flame.
This is the ultimate result of other issues that can be with the whole furnace system in your rv.
It stays lit only when i keep my hand there.
Remove it and done.
Rv furnace will not stay lit it works intermittently while not the most serious of problems it s absolutely one of the most annoying ones.
Just purchased a 2006 23krs and have yet to get the furnace going.
First check the obvious problems off the list by checking the propane tank.
Well i had this issue on the list of needed repairs at the rally and a couple of technicians came by to check it and they cut 2 blue wires on the right side which go to the thermostat and then twisted the 2 wires from the furnace essentially bypassing the thermostat and it.
My furnace lp gas pilot won t stay lit.
Luckily if your rv propane is not flowing it s easy to troubleshoot and resolve.
Rv furnace keeps turning off.
The problem is when the blower works and the heater doesn t ignite it is the board inside heater it will have to be pulled out and replaced it is inside your heater unit chances are if you were at a camp site and you didn t have a device to control spikes it zapped your igniter board.
Make sure the thermostat is is fine working condition.
It can happen when you have a bad thermostat.
Then the water heater won t fire up.
It will ignite and then poof goes out and does it 4 times and then turns off.
You have propane as it actually lights but it won t stay lit.
The problem may be a genuine defect or it could be an issue with the sensor.
The lp works fine on the hot water heater and cook top and fridge when not hooked to external power.
